Adding an Entry

Adding an entry from Wikipedia (or any other wiki) is fairly simple. However, if you have content that you want to submit, but don't want to add yourself for whatever reason, you can post a message in Site Discussion, or email Nwwaew with a link to the content.

How to add an entry

1. Go to the page on Wikipedia (or the wiki you are adding content from), and click "Edit this page" or "View source". This is usually a tab on the top of the page, but the text and location can vary, depending on the Wiki software and skin being used.
2. Copy the wikimarkup from the edit box (if using MediaWiki- if you're using a Wiki on another type of software, you will need to reformat it for use here).
3. From here, there are two ways you can add content- if it's just a small bit of content, add it to the current page. if this is an entire page of material, you will want to add it as a page on it's own.

Adding a new section of content

1. Click here to go to the current page of content.
2. Click "Edit" on at the top of the page, and scroll all the way to the bottom of the edit window.
3. Paste the wikimarkup into the edit box.
4. Provide a link at the end to the diff you are porting over from. For more information on diffs, see here.
5. Save the page.
6. You're done! Thank you for your work!

Adding a new page of content

1. Using your location bar in your browser (where the website addresses are), go to the page location here that the page is at on the other side (ie: bjaodn.org/wiki/Beans for en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beans), minus the "Wikipedia: " prefix before it (so Wikipedia: Beans would just be "Beans" on its own), or select an appropriate title for the content, if there is enough to warrant its own page.
2. Click "Edit" on the new page, and paste the wikimarkup into the edit box.
3. Provide a link at the end to the diff you are porting over from. For more information on diffs, see here.
4. Save the page.
5. Add the page to Contents.
6. You're done! Thank you for your work!

Additionally, if you want to be really helpful, replace the navbox on there with {{Contents}}.
